HOW TO FLASH / UNBRICK MTK PHONES USING SP FLASHTOOL.

Before you can flash or unbrick your mtk phone, you need to download the firmware of the phone. The firmware for various phones can be downloaded from here or here.  You can also search for your phones flash file or firmware through google search engine. This is done by entering a simple phrase like “Firmware download for Infinix x551”. That is by typing your phone’s model and adding the word “Firmware” to it.

After downloading your phones firmware Extract the firmware into a folder.You can also download and install Vcom drivers from here
Download Sp flashtool from here
Extract flashtool zip or rar file.
Open the extract and find “flashtool”.
Run Flashtool as administrator.
Click on load-scatter to load the firmware into the sp flashtool. A pop up menu appears browse to the folder where you extracted the firmware to and locate a file name “Scatter File” and open.
When the files are loaded,
Make sure you untick pre_loader and DSL_BL especially for MTK6572 and the older versions of the chipset.
Click on download.
Power off the phone, remove the battery (if the battery if removable).
Press both volume keys of the phone and connect the USB data cable to the phone. You can insert the battery if removable. 
You can release the volume buttons when you notice the phone has been detected by Sp flashtool.
Wait for the firmware to be downloaded to the phone.
When it is done a green tick sign will be displayed on the flashtool.
Disconnect the phone and boot.

 NB:  THIS MUST BE DONE WITH THE PHONE HAVING NOT LESS THAN 40%. DO NOT CANCEL OR REMOVE THE USB CABLE DURING FLASH. THE PHONE MAY GO COMPLETELY DEAD AND WILL NOT BE DETECTED BY COMPUTER OR POWER UP. MAKE SURE YOU FLASH THE PHONE WITH THE CORRECT FIRMWARE. FLASHING THE WRONG FIRMWARE WILL MAKE THE PHONE GO COMPLETELY DEAD.
